Senior Systems Engineer Level 3

A Senior Systems Engineer works with clients to steer their technical direction and ensure that projects undertaken for them are implemented and successful. They are also the key resource for handling new technology direction, adoption, and implementation.

You’ll join a well-established IT services provider. They provide contemporary Managed and Professional Services to an extensive and growing customer base.

YOUR ROLE:

This is a clear Senior Engineer role. You will work with clients directly to become a trusted advisor and implementor.  You will communicate IT direction and be the backstop for a technical team as they implement and maintain solutions.

YOU WILL NEED:

• A technical background with significant previous experience working with service delivery teams, preferably including exposure to MSP operations.
• A history of technical project delivery including solution documentation.
• A significant resume showing exposure to a wide variety of IT hardware, operating systems, and applications.
• Experience in contemporary commercial IT technologies including cloud-based services, networking, and mainstream business applications.
• An understanding of Ticketing, RMM and Documentation systems.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
• In depth exposure to Microsoft Operating Systems. 
   

YOUR KNOWLEDGE:
You will already have a strong grasp of most of these technologies:

• Aclive Directory; Cloud and On Prem.
• Office 365/Intune.
• VOIP Telephony.
• Server and Network Administration.
• VPN configuration and troubleshooting.
• Networking including: Switching, Routing and WiFi implementation.
• Security including: Authentication and Firewall deployment.
• Exposure to common service delivery applications such as: ConnectWise, Autotask, IT Glue, and Datto.
