About the Role:
We’re looking for an experienced IT support officer to join the team. In this role, you’ll work onsite in a Northern Suburbs based College. You will be responsible for IT support to staff and sudents ensuring smooth operation of the school’s technology systems.

About You:
This role is ideal for someone with basic IT knowledge, a willingness to learn, and a strong customer service focus.

You’ll bring:

  • A basic understanding and enthusiasm for computing
  • Some experience supporting Microsoft applications including Office 365
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
  • A valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.

And it won’t hurt if you also have:

  • Previous experience in a school or educational environment
  • Knowledge of basic networking and IT concepts (e.g., Networks, Wi-Fi)
  • Experience with helpdesk or ticketing systems.

Your responsibilities:

  • Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues
  • Respond to helpdesk tickets, emails, and walk-up requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Set up and maintain student and staff devices (e.g., laptops, desktops, tablets)
  • Monitor printing consumables and maintain printer infrastructure
  • Assist with classroom technology (e.g., projectors, ViVi’s, audio visual support)
  • Repair laptops
  • Support user account management (e.g., password resets, access permissions)
  • Perform basic troubleshooting including internet and Wi-Fi connectivity issues
  • Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff as required
  • Perform routine checks and updates on school devices
  • Assist with IT asset inventory and documentation
  • Provide support during school events and exams as needed.

Your qualifications:

  • Completion of or working towards a Certificate III or IV in Information Technology (or equivalent)
  • Current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain)
  • Police Check (or ability to obtain).
