Pharmacy Operations Specialist

Jun 19, 2026

The Opportunity:

You’re a registered pharmacist who’s spent time behind the dispensary counter — and somewhere along the way, you realised you love the technology side of pharmacy just as much as the clinical side. This one’s for you.

A well-established pharmacy software business with a strong national presence is looking for an Operations Specialist to join their Melbourne-based team. This is a permanent role sitting at the intersection of pharmacy expertise, customer success, and software onboarding — and it’s genuinely one of the more interesting things you can do with a pharmacy degree.

What the role actually involves:

When a pharmacy comes on board with this software platform, you’re the person who makes that transition smooth. You’ll be the primary contact for each store during their onboarding period — coordinating everything from pre-go-live activities through to formal handover to the support team.

That means getting on-site when needed (yes, there’s national travel involved), delivering tailored training to pharmacy teams, answering workflow and product questions, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks during what can be a stressful changeover for a busy dispensary.

You’ll also play a meaningful role in customer support — particularly for escalations that require real clinical knowledge. PBS claiming, dispensing safety checks, legislative requirements — this is where your pharmacist registration genuinely matters, not just as a checkbox.

Beyond the day-to-day, you’ll be capturing customer feedback, tracking NPS, and feeding insights back to product and support teams. If you care about making software work better for pharmacists, you’ll have a real voice here.

You’ll bring:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Pharmacist
  • 2+ years in community or hospital pharmacy
  • Hands-on experience with dispense systems
  • Customer-facing background — support, training, or onboarding
  • Confident troubleshooting and issue triage
  • Strong communicator across phone, email, and face-to-face
  • Comfortable with CRM tools, ticketing systems, Microsoft 365
  • Ability to travel nationally as required

The setup:

The head office is in Docklands, Melbourne CBD, and the business supports hybrid working arrangements — so you’re not in the office five days a week. That said, the travel component is real, so you’ll need to be comfortable getting on a plane to visit pharmacy sites around the country when needed.

You’ll report to the Customer Service Manager and work closely with installers, product management, and support teams internally, as well as pharmacy owners, dispensary managers, and retail staff on the customer side.

What’s on Offer:

$110,000 + superannuation, permanent role. A chance to use your clinical background in a way that has genuine reach — you won’t be helping one pharmacy at a time, you’ll be helping dozens of them get the most out of technology that affects how they serve patients every day.

Ready to Apply?

If this sounds like the kind of role that’s been missing from your career so far, I’d love to hear from you. Send through your CV and a brief note about your dispensary background and any experience you have with pharmacy software systems — that context really helps.
